It's been a long while.
I started this in digital but got bored.
So, here's the charcoal version, inspired by the technique of David Kassan.

15.5" x 20.5" Canford Gun Metal (dark grey) cardstock paper
PanPastel (black) for blocking in and General black/white charcoal pencil for detailing.

I think this is excellent, but for me the hair just doesnt do it. Its slightly under detailed but this drawing is still awesome.

Looks great - I've always wanted to try drawing on gray paper.
I'll pencil that in for next year ..

I'm starting to think that the decorative borders you're adding are a little distracting.
I would rather just see your drawing without the border.

Fantastic piece! I like the high contrast and your textures are so detailed and realistic!

Very good drawing.. I don't like charcoal very much, the more impressed I am with the picture. Never get the details with coal.
