I should mention right in the beginning, if you want to do pencil drawings plus digital art at the same time, not to mention being good at them, requires a full time job. So my approach is just on a very basic level.
As digital art is concerned I took Don Seegmiller's book, to study, which got my attention the most. The book's title is "Digital Character Design and Painting", from where I started the first lesson and took a reference images :
After lots of hours of frustration and new ground exploration I managed to do this :
Few days passed and I gathered new will, power and strength to try it again, and to do it better:
I hope that my works are not bad, for first attempt. Handling a PC drawing tablet is a different story, I was sweating blood managing to keep it under control after 15 years of mouse user friendly environments.
