My grandmother also hanged herelf. I never met her. She was in her thirties. I'had a nervous breakdown at art school in 1970. I got all the ice cream I wanted and got to stay for a month. Drawinggto me IS one way of talking to myself. It depends on oneself, whether he-she is worth talking to or not! The statistics are not in... on people who talk to themselves when no one is around!
You guys really make my tiny little problems look like nothing... good to know that you can go through things that are that traumatic though and come out on top... but maybe, in the case of David at least, "Crazy".
