Unless they have changed their EULA, DA used to have a clause in it that allowed for them to use your uploaded work, sell your work without notification to you and without a percentage of the sale. While you maintained original copyright of the material you were granting them non-exclusive rights to your uploads. This ultimately turned DA into a massive stock image site, what I find funny is that the EULA also puts the blame on you, if you uploaded or stole someones work then DA turned around and sold it and THEN the original artist came to light, you were now on the hook for DA's legal costs, the purchaser of the artwork any legal issues they had as well as issues with the artist. That alone should be reason to not steal work. Problem is though that most people do not read the EULA when they join sites. It was enough for me to not get a DA account, I am not sure if it is still that way but if anyone is profiting from DA chances are good it is mostly DA
