Trying to find out name of pen and ink artist on TV document

Hi

I saw a documentary maybe in the early 80s on UK TV about a guy who created pen and ink drawings that took him up to 6 months to complete.

He used a 0.1mm rotring rapidograph pen to draw cross hatching, so he could only do so many square inches per day.
The finished drawings were quite big (maybe A1 or A2), and looked like photographs.

I was inspired to do my own drawing in the same way which took a couple of months.

I thought his name was something like Ray Wilkes, but I can't find anything on google with that name.

Cheers

Hi Russ

It probably was a show something like that, he might have been an architect and did the drawings in his spare time (not sure about that).

I can't remember what he drew, I just remember that they looked like black and white photos from a distance.
