Well folks, I 've been whining about the 7 grandchildren my sister has me drawing for her. Then, yesterday an old friend from the 60's came buy to visit, while driving truck to and from California. Today he caled from Oregon and says he wants to buy my picture of Eric Clapton, when it's finished. To me that is pressure, but it is also an opportunity and a compliment. So far I have not even determined a price for any one of these 8 proposed works, four of which haven't been started.
I wonder if anyone has any pointers about dealing with commissions. I do not want to compromise my work, for example, just because they are "commissions".
My friend intends to be giving the Clapton picture to a dear and old friend of his who lives in the Prairies. I know- I will do it for her, as well as for him. Sh-t- I may do it for free. But, no, I've had a belly full of that!
