Drawing Forum and Art Community

fascinated by some of your drawings (very realistic ) I decided to take up a pencil ..
This is the third portrait I did .. There 's still a lot to improve, when I have time I will draw more and upgrade.
My weaknesses are hair, body hair varies, details (I have to be more patient)

any advice is welcome!

Wow. That is good for your third portrait. I need to get on the volume ball with my pencil. Hair is my weakness too. Actually I think I am just lazy. lol

I have a question,
the brushes to smudge the graphite, how are they made? i mean wich material?

Because i use the smudge to blend but i think that, to shade large areas , brushes are better...Or not?

btw, I decided to make the next drawing without blending!

this is the first time i print the reference image (I usually copy watching on the computer). It's very helpful.

Your welcome. Im so jelous as of now. I know I will get better through practice but your values without blending look better then....well anything value that I have done. lol. That ok though. Makes me want to keep at it. haha

Banks, this portrait of Dali is the fourth that I do. Compared to the first (a kind of meganfox: D) I think, and hope, to be improved a lot.
Besides being a matter of practice, the eye has an important role
In the end all boils down to a gray scale and some line. You Just have to be patience and understand.

Maybe don't bled will be helpful for you (i think u can understand better the changes of grey tones). It's helpful for me to!
