Oh and I love the feeling I get when I spray a finished drawing. It's a combination of both satisfaction and I'm never going to have to work on this drawing again

So first of all, when i saw the first page i thought hey, he can work with a grid. I can't do that and i probably don't want to do it, but i think it is good if somebody works with it and the result is satisfying.
And i think it great that you did the last step and improved a lot of parts of the drawing. Her lips are defined very well and also the hair looks a lot better. I would say you are on a good way.

My question russ is this. I read again the pencils you were using. I am guessing that you used the h6 for the actual grid, then went to hb for the line drawing of the features and then went back to a H pencil to start shading. am I right or wrong?

You are probably pressing too hard,what is the paper you're using?
