2 cats commission

A drawing I did for my cousin. I am very unsatisfied with the background. I don't want to give it to him untill I see if anyone has any suggestions.

Re: 2 cats commission

Probably would say go darker and let them cats pop out more, great drawing aj!
Mechanical pencil would be best, time consuming though, you need to get deeper into the paper.

Re: 2 cats commission

Another thing is these cats appear lighter in tones now that the background is dark. When the background was white the cats looked darker. So, should I go over them again? I would hate to go darker with the cats.....but if I have to, i have to.

Re: 2 cats commission

Try photoshot with different contrast to see the best results. You'll probably need to re-touch the cats anyway.
