People Portrait practice!

Thought I'd post a portrait I am doing of my daughter as practice as I have only done two other people portraits in the past and would like to improve on this subject more to widen my field of art work. I know the eyes have not quite worked out, but I'm hoping I can work to improve them as I go along.

Put the reference photo up so we can see what we are looking at. It looks like you aren't afraid to go dark, which is a good thing. Just take your time is all I can say. :D

Not looking too bad at all CJ,It's a shame your ref pic isn't face-level,It's one of those things that make me angry, especially animal pictures where the person taking the picture cant get down at eye level (mini rant over).

Thanks, here's the finished result, I know there is quite a few mistakes, but hopefully practice will improve them!
