unfinished

This is an unfinished piece I gave up on and have been thinking about finishing it. POsting it here to get some feedback if anyone can tell me what exactly is wrong with it. I like the theme but something doesnt work and Ive obviously alrdy gotten blind to the pros and cons of this pic.

Re: unfinished

Difficult to give feedback when it's your imagination!
What doesn't work for me is, You have a treadmill with workers on it (they should be at the side) the belt delivers the coal.
The grabbing arm has no hinges so it couldn't actually grab anything.
And the small drive-belts are misplaced, you need to lose the one above the red-hot cauldron (touching) the top drive-belt is OK.
The workers have hole digging shovels and they need to be different.
Hope this helps.
P.S. Don't forget my signed First Edition Book. :)

Re: unfinished

cheers russ - I kinda meant image composition and stuff but you are actually right in everything you said. This image is def not worth continuing on cause its a lot of work and doesnt seem to be worth it so ill rather start afresh with a similar concept. Also - I feel like the whole image is just too busy!

Anyway thanks - now at least I can put this into the "open later - maybe" folder witb a good conscience ;)
