Newbie collection. Feel free to attack it.

Hello to everybody. My name is Christiam and I would like to share some of my draws. I used to follow the instructions from Andrew Loomis and Andy Smith books. I'm not so good and I would apreciate any recomendation.
Sorry about my poor english I'm from Spain.

As you can see I like the comic stile, and shadowing is a total unknown concept to me :P

Re: Newbie collection. Feel free to attack it.

These are all good starts, there are many different styles of drawing, this website is more for portraits so if you would like to learn how to draw something more realistic then Brian (the owner of this website) has some brilliant tutorials which can be found on the home page.

Two quick tips:
1) Don't be afraid to go darker, leave no area on the picture blank, white space should only exist as a highlight.
2) Use your pencil very lightly to put down the first layers of shading and use a piece of tissue or a blending stump the blend your tones, blend softly in a circular motion

Very good effort though, I like your style.
Treat others as you'd wish to be treated.

Oh sorry!, Missed a vital one!

Avoid bold lines, the shading should give the outline!
Treat others as you'd wish to be treated.

Re: Newbie collection. Feel free to attack it.

Thanks so much. Indeed I came here to learn "the other way" I am used to the lines from comics and for my stile i would like a middle point, like does ones from Andrew Loomis, so I wanted to learn the shadowing properly. It is not the same to control more or less every style and chose one, than chose one style because you don't know how to do it in other way.

I will have a look to the tutorials.

Thanks again, see you.
