Mo Farah - WIP

Latest WIP from me - A1 mountboard in the absence of Bristol Baord that size. 6 hours in so far, and not much to show for it :) . It will hopefully be finished by Rio 2016!!

is there gona be anything in the background? may be sound stupid but i didnt worked out what is WIP? do u think that there is a lot of difference between the bristol and the one u using for this pic? So far loox fantastic and im sure it will be even better as u progress

Thanks. The background will be fully shaded, but mostly out of focus. I don't want to share the reference pic until the end :) !

im still waiting to try out the bristol board,,didnt had a chance to buy it yet,,,ppl talkin about it on this forum and this is actually the place where i did hear about it first time. Is it really that much diferent between the heavy weight and the bristol board,,,atm im workin on heavy weight kinda rough finish board

Bristol Board is the best surface I've come across for blending graphite. It's very very smooth.

As mentioned above, Bristol Board is a whiter, smoother surface than mount board. That said, for this piece I quite like using mount board, which gives just a tiny bit of texture that seems to work well with the various tones.
