Just started new drawing

This time I'm prepared to take my time, as per advice from you guys. I've spent a good hour on the basic outline, making sure not to draw too hard. All erasable, should it come to that. I believe my proportions are decent. It's just... I'm afraid to continue in fear of ruining my epic outline LOL :)

I will post some updates along the way. I hope this to be better than my other drawings, and I'll try to perfect it as much as possible as I can with a B pencil, chewed gum-like eraser and a pink gum eraser. :)

Finished. I guess it took altogether 4-5 hours to do. Done in three sittings.
Is it an improvement over my others?

Re: Just started new drawing

It is a large improvement over your other drawings.
You may want to try very simple lines to keep everything straight. Like keeping the center of eyes, nose and mouth even.

Re: Just started new drawing

Great advice. I didn't even noticed the uneven face until you mentioned it! It would be so much better if it's straight, and it seems like such a newbie mistake! Arg! Thanks for pointing out :)

Re: Just started new drawing

Haha yeah its easy to over look stuff like that.
If you eye is brought to the same spot repeatedly and you don't think it looks right; it probably isn't right.
It also helps to have an outside person critique your art. It doesn't matter if they don't have an artistic eye, they can still give you a general idea of what's wrong.

My husband can't draw a stick figure, but if I show him a drawing he can say, "Something about the eyes is weird." or "Wow his nose is way too long".
Just be prepared when you show your stuff to people who don't draw. Their replies may be harsh, but don't take it personally. ;)

Phan-Tom posted this in the Tutorial section. You may want to check it out.
It is very helpful for drawing people.
