Gee I've Missed You Guys!!

Won't blame you if you never speak to me again. It has been almost a year!!! Can you believe it? Have to confess I never once opened an email from the forum. A quick recap:
Visitors left, more came, more came and then more came.
Dad got sick and I went to visit for a month.
Dad died two weeks after I came home. I was very sad for a long time.
Mother came to visit for 5 weeks - added to my sadness.
Stopped drawing!!
Still no drawing!!
Tried to paint - disaster
Tried silk painting - disaster
Took on too much - crashed and burned!
Back in the land of the living - but still no drawing. What to do?????

Maybe try something simple - that way you'll be done before you run out of initiative.

I know about losing interest ... I've been working on the same drawing since November !!

I'm sorry to hear that. Best to take it slow, just a day at a time. Working on art is almost vital in time like that...It helps you escape your mind for a while. I recommend you get back into drawing, or maybe digital art, or even painting again. It's good that you think your painting was a disaster. Thats how I know you can get much better at it. Knowing what you can't do, helps you do it better.

Hi LIzzie- I too have been away a long time. For some reason my computer, which has changed, seems more compatiable with this site, now. ( I had an awful time, for a spell.)
There is so much illness and dying aroung here, as well. I am convinced life goes on and on subsequent to our passing. " Death" is not a bad thing, I am told, but missing loved ones is sad indeed.
Have you asked yourself if you DESIRE to draw? Why do want to draw? You have shown that you still can do it, but wouldn't it be nice to know that you are goinfg to do it becaue YOU WANT TO? I'm sure you do.
