You're off to a good start. The joker is my favorite of the three.

Glad you posted here. I think the Joker is the best of the three. My only suggestions would be to work on the proportions of your subjects and try to avoid many contour lines (outlining in black). Work on having gradations and the realism will really pick up.

Just out of curiosity, how long did each of these take you?

The Sparta one took about 2 hours

The one of my dog was only about 20 minutes

and the joker took about 3 hours over the course of a couple days

Where can I learn to use my photoshop :), like when it comes to layers and all that stuff I don't have a clue what I'm doing, it's sad I have this program and don't even know anything about it, about all I do with it is adjust lighting and contrast for my drawing when my camera screws them up :), then resize stuff , although I did animate the eyes on my avatar, but I just got lucky that it worked. :). oh and how much does one those pen things that you draw on pc with cost. Oh and I like the Spartan one its funny . :)

Unfortunatly i dont use photoshop
for the time being i am stuck with a 30 day trial of Corel Painter X, which i like a lot
i am considering either buying Photoshop or Corel but they are expensive lol

the tablet i use is the Bamboo Fun Tablet and i bought it at Best Buy for $100 dollars

they also sold a cheaper one for about $70 and im pretty sure it has most of the same features :D

Check out indi's tutorial too. I think it helped a ton. (its in his deviantart gallery). Tablets range from 50 dollars to 3000 if you buy a cintiq. Personally, I like wacoms the best. I've used many brands and wacom is definitely at the top of my list. I have a wacom intuos3 6X8 tablet..was about 280. Works wonders.
