Re: What to learn first

Hey I asked this question too  I started drawing basic shapes, then shading.. I just took the pencil in hand and started shading, pushing hard, letting slowly..and so on. I made some geometrical figures like squares and so on. Then I tried some blind contour drawing, just looking at an object and try to draw it without looking at the paper. Stick figures are also helpful. Different positions, styles...
Negative space study seems interesting and helpful because in the future if you'd like to draw hair,it can be easily done with negative drawing. You can find on internet different sites.
I'm not that good in drawing either, but I know you have to be dedicated and work a lot if you really want to be good in drawing. And this ... requires free time :)
