I'm new to Pastels

this also took about 30 minutes. i was bored in my art class at school and i can't seem to get motivated to start a real project. i have a ton of quick little sketches like this one.



one thing that i feel i should change is the little bit of shading on the eye ball. the shadow of the eye lid should be a little more defined.

or am i completely wrong?

This is a good drawing. I don't really like pastels, but I like it when other artists use it.

And I prefer drawings not so real. Maybe you can use sfumato tecnique like Renoir.
