Hello from Indiana
I started drawing at a very young age and was blessed to have wonderful art teachers who challenged me, encouraged me and opened many doors for me at a very young age.
During my 20s, I did not create very much, but recently have immersed myself back into my art. My husband has encouraged me and critiques all of my work. He is also very artistic, as is our three year old daughter. My mother-in-law has also been very supportive...she is a very talented portrait artist.
I have FMS, so I have a lot of down time to draw...
I drew a portrait for a friend of mine, as a Christmas gift to someone else. This has generates some local interest in my work. People have been asking what I charge. I had no clue what to say.
I started researching different artists and pricing online, which led me to Duey's site. What a neat site! The tutorials have been helpful, too. I have put pricing on the back burner, and am just enjoying drawing and enjoying the development of my craft.
Sorry for the long post, I wanted to share how I got here. Will post my latest portrait later, as I am putting final touches on it.
